Unilytics has developed its own methodology for WebTrends consulting, implementation and training; RETAIN - Reverse Engineered Training and ImplementatioN. RETAIN combines the services of Configuration & Administration and Business End-User Training, but reverses the order for better results.

Traditional implementations see installation and configuration work being done first followed by end-user training. However, this is not the most effective sequence of events. Rather, end-user training is the best forum for fine-tuning business requirements providing invaluable insight into how WebTrends should subsequently be configured. This proven formula ensures full value is obtained from WebTrends. During Phase 1 we analyze website strategies, goals, business objectives and marketing campaigns by meeting with key stakeholders. This is followed by an interactive end-user training session in which we identify key reports necessary for your business and how they should be configured. This enables us to deliver a concise roadmap of requirements, used in Phase 2, during the implementation and configuration of WebTrends. We then close the loop in Phase 3 by bringing back business users and show them how to access and interpret finished reports.

RETAIN is typically performed in a 7- or 5-day session. Depending on customer needs and budget, we can scale this back to three days or extend it to as many days as are required.
